"Spiky?" Is that a techinal term? Post pics anyone who has these on their cars please. I would like to see what it was like to be a live in the early 80's. I think my grandapa told me about these things.

For me 18" wheels and lowering a car is for the '63 impallas. Putting Cobra and Roush body panels on a GT is for posers.

A.) There's this physics phenomenon called "Handling" which lowering a car the proper way will dramaticly improve by lowering the vehicle's center of gravity.

B.)Cobra's are overpriced. You can buy a GT, turn it into a Cobra(astheticly) and make it outperform a Cobra for less than a stock one will cost you.

Some people like the 4x4 look. If you want the ground clearance of an F150, but want the looks of a sports car...then you can buy a stock GT and leave it at the stock ride height. There's just not any good place in the Mustang to mount a gun rack. However, with our large antenna masts, you could probably fly a rebel flag from your antenna.

And BTW, I must be poser of the year with my Steeleen Fobra GT

As for the louvers, for the love of God, please do not buy them.....please!!!1

Sorry, I couldn't get mine in Real Tree camo with cherry bombs. However my REAL Mach 1 does have louvers.

Mhanna77, hey man I absolutely love the 69 mach. IMHO the best looking car bar none. I loved the way the louvers look on that car, and that's part of the reason I got them for my 04. Not arguing physics here just talking about aperance mods and peoples tastes.

Some like custom hoods with multiple scoops, gauge clusters, body kits, neon lights, side exhuast, spoilers, chrome wheels, wider tires, wheel spacers, sequential tail lights, euro style headlights, billet grills, c pillar pannels and scoops, vinyl graphics, stickers, custom emblems, or even lowering springs, replica bumbers, and louvers.

My point is the mustang is a heavily modded car in appearance, and has a large after market backing. You can mod your mustang to what ever style you want.

I could care less if you don't like my style and I hope you could care less if I like your style.

So to the guy asking about louvers... you like them, get them. They are well crafted out of powder coated alluminum. The slats are at the perfect angle so that when you look through your rear mirror there is no view restrictions. They ride solid and don't shake or make noise. I don't remember where I bought mine from but they were $275.

I agree, its whatever you prefer. Some people go the body kit routes, which is fine. I myself am attracted to the 60's and 70's Mustang styles. I Have a 2000 GT and hopefully I can add some nice "old school" touches to it. But as stated, to each his own! No-one else has to like it except for you. I think the louvers look cool on the new Mustangs, especially if you have the shaker kit, black rear spoiler and Hallibrand wheels :D
