PICS of the 3 '05's at my Ford Dealer

  • Sponsors (?)

Yeah... They were selling them at MSRP and nothing over. Which was pretty cool. You wanna have the first 05 in town, you're gunna pay MSRP. The Grey one was 23,000, but it was fully loaded with the interior upgrade and everything... The blue was 21,700... And I don't remember what the Yellow was, I never looked.

23000 for a v6 sounds high to me...but whatever. As for the light covers...I think they are a good idea or else the new stang would have snow lights like the older camaros. We all know what snow lights are right?

No, I'm sorry I don't know what snow lights are. Explain please.

Oh and Stang8URMPRT I am a huge Bush supporter but that picture in your avatar makes me crack up everytime I see it. Thats the goofiest face I've seen. I just picture Bush saying" I like jello!" :flag:

Snow lights??

I assumed the OP met people who don't bother cleaning off the snow from their car before driving. You might know what I mean. Basically, a "snow ball" moving down the road with just a small opening chopped through the snow on the windshield through which driver hopes to see at least some of the road head. :D

Snow lights would be when the recessed area of the headlights, is packed solid with snow and ice. It makes an interesting effect as the headlights behind all that packed snow, illuminate it from behind.

Yeah, I don't remember where I found it, but you have to be dead to not think that's funny as hell! haha

I'm getting tired of people getting called a 'troll' just because they don't like the look of the new 05's. We all like or own Mustangs, and some of us (myself included) are not at all interested in the retro look. That said, I think that Ford did a great job with this car and for those who dig the old look I am sure they are in love with this car.

Excellent point! :nice:

Just because someone doesn't "dig" the old fashion looking 2005 Mustang, doesn't mean they don't like Mustangs. With now over 40 years worth of examples to choose from, we all have our favorites, and not so favorites. :flag:

Not sure on this, but I think the plastic is to help reduce wind resistance and lower drag and thus increase the aerodynamics. This in turn helps make the car a great performer on the track :nice:. I think I will tolerate the plastic covers for the performance numbers I am seeing so far.

Ummmmm, no. Since 1987, all cars and trucks, except work vehichles, are required to have flush mounted headlights according to federal regs. That plastic cover is there to make the headlights "flush mounted".
