I posted this on the Registry too...

Anybody have this new setup? It's the CNL CAI sans MAF and RPMoutlet is selling it with the TB tube for a pretty good price. I was thinking about getting in on it. Anybody have experiences with RPMoutlet too, because I've heard some negative stuff in the past about them?

I have the whole shebang. The airbox, 85mm MAF, and the True Flow intake tube. While I can't vouch for any performance increases from this setup, it hasn't hurt anything. I've never experienced any problems from RPM Outlet either, so don't believe everything you hear.

Sweet, I orderd it yesterday, I can't wait to get it, your motor looks awesome BTW, what do you use on it to make it all shiney?

Also, I just installed my PHP intake spacer today, what a PITA!!

Actually, I just use good old Armorall cleaning wipes, followed by the Protectorant wipes. Takes about a half hour to do the whole engine bay.

TR03Mach1, gotta question? Did you reuse the MAF screen when you installed the CNL stuff??
Nope, the screen went bye-bye with the stock maf. And no, I haven't encountered the dreaded stalling, or surging conditions that some people say occurs. I don't know about the leaning out of the a/f, since I haven't had the car to a dyno since installing the C&L stuff.

CatmanJJ how did you like the PHP spacer once you had it installed? Could you feel any noticeable differences...........? Talk to me about it a lil bit, I just bought mine.

Thanks, Kyle

It's a worthy install, just becareful I actually f'd up one of the gaskets, like ripped the membrane on it and I ordered a new one just to be safe. But I think it's a worthy mod, I have no numbers, but car does seem to rip harder off the line and seems to have more pull top end. I plan on installing my CNL stuff this weekend, so I'm hoping to see some even better results. Seeing the mods in your sig., for the price, and the fact it's a do-it-yourself mod, I think it's worth it.

Welp, I installed it today and it went on without a hitch. Took about 20 mins total, then I went out and drove it for about 20 miles, no problems at all. Car really sings at WOT throttle, on the highway I was hammering it and before I knew it I was going 110 MPH!! This and the spacer seem to be a worthy mod for the price.

Yes I do. If you look at those last two pictures above, you can see the purge line running under the intake tube into the fender, then if you look real close, you can see it attached to the pony's tail in the grill! :D

Kool, Im thinking of re routing mine out the front of the shaker.
