I just bought a parts car that has nearly perfect interior and a console, shifter, and TONS of other parts. I want to switch the interior out for the stuff in my drivable 69. How do I get started? I've already got the console out, but have no idea how to take the seats and rails off the front. Thanks guys!

Im assuming it would be the same as the 68 model year, so take a look under the car there should be 4 holes (maybe covered with rubber grommets) that is how the seat mounts, its probley 1/2inch socket to get them out. then once the seat is out, flip it over and there are bolts that hold the rails to the seats. hope this helps.

the seats are very easy to remove. underneath the car, directly underneath the 4 corners of the seat are four holes, often times plugged with black plastic caps. pry the caps off w/ screwdriver, put in a deep well 1/2 or 9/16 socket w/ medium extension. easy as pie. if you have a compressor w/ air ratchet (which may be a bit overkill) it's laughably easy. take out the back 2 first, then the front near the tranny, then the front oustide. trust me on this, you'll see. from the top side, between the seat and the floor are 2 or 4 small rectangular plates, per side, make sure you reuse these properly, pay attention to their placement when you take the seat out. not as easy as a '72, but not hard at all. if neither car has the plugs, or if they are damaged badly when you take them out, order new ones from national parts depot. they are cheap.

what do you mean by rails? what else you got?

interior....

the seats have been explained. the rear seat is just hooked in. Lift the back and pull it out. The bottom piece is also just hooked in. The kick panels are held in by screws and pop right out. Same thing with the sill plates. the rear interior moldings are held in my plastic pieces that connect near the doors. They are about 10" long. Remove them and the screws and they will peel away. The carpet and underpadding lifts out.

That should be it.
