Is there an easy fix to this or do I need to take it in? My warranty is expired but I believe since this is a "safety" issue they will fix it. Any of you guys have/had this problem.

Thanks!

On my '99 the locking mechanism was sprung open and I wasn't able to pull down my passenger seat belt.

Fortunately under the safety warranty (I was told it's 50k) it was covered although you're required to pay for the service if it's not a parts failure like you're probably getting now. They had me agree that if it were something I caused (such as the belt being tied up behind the scenes) I'd have to pay out of pocket.

Take it in, you should be good to go.

my 03s drivers belt is now not rolling, I'm sure they will fix it, if not, it will be gorilla glued to their window in the morning

When I was installing my Cobra Daytona seat in the car I removed that back seat. I found white pieces of plastic. Turns out its part when the belt rolls up. The plastic keeps the belt from binding as it is pulled in. I will check with the dealer on the fix.

heh mine wont roll up when you get out of the car but like to tray and crush you gradually when you are in the car.

I'm so glad only my pass side does the binding thing, my GF hates it, she gets stuck hard back against the seat :p
