Ordered the red caliper 10th anniv. Cobra brakes with rotors, stainless steel lines, etc. all brand new. Took everything to a brake shop. The mechanic calls me after 4 hours and says the banjo bolts are the wrong ones. Is this possible, or does he just not know what he is doing? He says the bolt threads will not match the threading on the calipers. Now I am not sure what to do. He says I can't get the right bolts at the auto parts store. He said I have to special order them. What now.
Oh I have a 2000 GT Mustang.

i had the same issue and i went to a local store(Brad's in Seattle) and he matched the thread of the caliper to a bolt and sold me two for 10 bucks!

i don't know where you are, but if you are in the seattle area Brad is the man

hell ya. you guys are awesome. i will check on that part number M2321A. Stupid company i ordered from should have known about this change. I will call him too. This should have been a smooth upgrade, but now my car is at the mechanic shop for two days. I don't like leaving it with a bunch of mechanics I don't know.

Again, thanks for the awesome replies. I will let u know if that p/n solves the problem.

Something to think about. Your spare tire won't fit the front 13" rotors. You would have to put a rear tire on the front and the spare on the rear.I upgraded to 13"/12"..had to buy a Cobra wheel/tire spare.

You will enjoy the 13's...they stop faster.

well my project/dilemma is over. Thanks for all that helped. You guys are great. Turns out that in 2003, Ford changed the banjo bolts to a different threading, so since my car is 2000, I couldn't reuse my bolts, and the new ones sent in the package were also the wrong ones. So after doing research, it turns out I needed 10mm x 1.5" banjo bolts that are not fine thread. The 2000 came with the fine thread bolts. These will work with any of the other brake upgrades such as Bullitt or the black Cobra brakes. But it just so happens I got the red ones, and they don't work only on the red ones. I hope everyone can use this thread as a reference when doing this upgrade, so you don't run into the same problem as me...

ya i got 2 for $7. here is the correct threading, although this bolt was too long. it has to be 10mm x 1.5
