I've seen the plug in electric coolers from igloo, and i've seen the thermoelctric coolers you can put on your computer's cpu, and they both run on 12v...

so, why cant we use 'em to cool our intakes? intake tubes from super/turbos? fuel lines? carbs?

has anyone played with these yet? i've been tossing around an idea but i have no access to a machine shop to fabricate adequate heatsinks.

Let me know if the idea is worth pursuing, hey i might just dev something and try to sell 'em. ;) :D

Heat from an engine is WAY more than what a standard 12V cooler, or a PC cooler setup could cool.

There have been some experiments done with hooking up the AC to an intercooler. I believe the 04 lightening prototype had some sort of a system like that... but even it only worked for a few seconds before it had to "recharge".
