I called my dealer last week to remove the optional wheels on teh GT because I wanted the Bullits instead. The dealer sent me a new print out of the oder confirmation (not the DORA). This is the screen print that shows all the different option with the retail and invoice price. Well, I noticed that my original sheet had a base MSRP of $24,370 for the GT Deluxe. It's now $24,600. What gives? I remove a $195 option from my order and the there's a net INCREASE of $35.00.

According to forddirect.com, the base price is still $24,370. Does anyone have any info on this. Thanks

From what I've heard, there was a price increase last week. However, that's a normal occurence throughout a model year. The '04 had several prices increases throughout last year. It has nothing to do with the trying to take advantage of the demand for the '05.

Normal! I work at a dealership and the same explorer I bought my wife last year was $28,105 and now they are $28,695. Actually we had one back in late 01' and it was $26,715!

Ford has to do something to make up for all of these insane rebates out there!

Again I say read the back of your VEHICLE PURCHASED ORDER, Before you sign it! Because by signing, you have read and agree to it and acknowledge receipt of a copy of this Order.

This is nothing new here, it is all covered under #2 PRICE CHANGES. If you are dissatisfied you may cancell under the terms thereof.
