Forgive me if i sound stupid but i'm not exactly sure how the exhaust system is laid out on a mustang. I want long tube headers since they add more horsepower than shortys, but will the extra length affect the mid section (x pipe or h pipe)? What i'm thinking is that cars with long tubes, since they are longer than stock, would need shorter mid sections so that the exhaust is overall the same length.

does that make any sense at all?

secondly, does anyone know where i can find bassani quiet thunder cat back and bassani long tube headers? I cant find them anywhere online.

It makes perfect sense and that means your thinking is right on the money.

LT's are longer so the mid pipe has to be shorter to fit in the space left between the header collector & catback.

I have BBK Longtubes coming on wednesday along with their shorter H-Pipe which has to be used with conjuction with those specific headers. By the way, H-Pipe all the way..X-Pipe is too raspy and pops way too much. H-Pipe is your classic muscle car sound

as far as i know bassani dont make long tubes , only hooker, kooks, bbk (junk) mac. i beleive thats it? anyone else know? make shure you really want long tubes tho i heard there a biotch to get on then you have the O2's that go wacky cause the O2's are way out and they cool off to much at idel and the computer richens you up! i was going to do it as well but it aint worth the sound witch is why i was going for, they give a nice ping ping at idol with a cam and they prob. wont pass emisions because of the cooling off issue's. so i'm staying with my bassani and flow's :nice: peace
