I have had mostly autos, and I just got a T5 that I have not tore into yet. The problem is, the person I got it from said that at highway speeds, it had vibration, so assuming that this is only while it is in gear, and goes away in neutral, and is actually something in the tranny, what could it be?

And just for fun, other than driveshaft, what else could cause this, flywheel? Clutch? Etc.

Thanks for the help,
Brian

Hmm
Maybe flywheel is untrue?
My LX had a vibration in it for awhile I tried 3 diff things.

New clutch setup
New driveshaft
New balancer.

I think the driveshaft and balancer made the most differance.

Was the vibration felt thru the car or in the shifter?
I've heard of sloppy old shifters causing people to run out and buy driveshafts and then have to turn around and get a new shifter.

I had that exact problem and believe or not it turned out to be my clutch fan. It was going bad and when the engine was revved up at high speeds it shook real bad. Otherwise it might be bad u- joints in the drive shaft. They may not feel loose but they might be too tight take them off and move them to see if there tight.
