'01 GT lowering springs?

I'd like to lower my '01 GT but want to keep a comfortable, stock like ride. Is there a set of lowering springs good for appearance only, while allowing the use of the factory castor and camber adjustment for correct alignment?

Ford Racing springs, Eibach pro, Steeda, Vogtland.. I'm sure there are more. Most likely you wont need any aftermardet c/c plates for these springs, but all cars react a little different.

FRPP "C" Springs will give you a nice drop, along with keeping it comfortable

This will lower your car 1" and is designed by Ford specifically for your car. The system costs a reasonable $435 from www.fordracingparts.com and you can probably find it cheaper if you shop around. You are probably thinking "why replace the shocks also?". Because the stockers are f'n CRAP...

I said "almost"... Also, the kit can be found for $100 less if you shop around. So he can get springs for $250 OR springs, shocks, swaybars specifically designed for his car BY THE MANUFACTURER for $85 more.

It is a "no brainer"... Go with the Ford kit.

Kigore, thanks to you, I think I'll get the FRPP 5300B springs! Thanks for your insightful information!

I don't think I need the whole kit though, I just want to take some of the gap out of the wheel openings.

Steeda sport are probably the best all round spring..

I found that the Steeda's were a bit to low for my liking when I had my 01 GT. I live in Maine though, so the roads aren't all that great! They looked great, but bottoming out everywhere sucked!

B springs here. Rides just like stock.

I like it! And I like the cost of the springs @ $140!

GEF Racing offers the Bullitt suspension system for around $399, plus shipping. Gives you a 3/4 inch drop all around. Big improvement in handling as well.
