Royal Purple or Mobil 1

Can't go wrong with either one. Royal Purple is great stuff but hard to find at local stores and more expensive than the Mobil 1. I use Mobil 1 for my oil changes as do lot's of us but I go with the Royal Purple for tranni fluid changes. Amsoil is also a good oil but again more expensive and tuff to find locally, atleast around my way. Most need to order RP or Amsoil online. :D

What about Amsoil? Amsoil is good stuff. :nice: Plus I have a dealer account with them.

I'm going to go with RP rear end dope and synchromesh tranny fluid, but I'm going to start using Amsoil in the engine.

I was told by a friend of mine (Ford master-tech) not to use Amsoil in the tranny or axle, but for the engine it one of, if not the best oils you can use. He told me go with Amsoil or RP for the engine.

He also said that Mobil1 is over rated. :notnice:

I dont know what your friend is talking about, i used the amsoil in my tranny and it worked great. helped alot with that crappy shifting 3650, made it much smoother, i recommend it.

Well, considering he's a master tech and he sees what the inside of transmissions and rear axles look like after using different kinds of oils I think I'll go with his advice.
