I think this is plain and simple. He is using his position of power in the automotive media to publically humiliate and redicule Ford motor company over a noncence issue. It may be a lagit issue, but its a rediculous one at that. This is the typical reports we get from European automotive reporters when they want to make American cars look bad. For what the GT is overall id say he got his moneys worth to upset any Ferrari. Not bad for a mass produced vehicle regurdless of the stupid alarm system. If he didnt like the alarm system.. pull that S-O-B out of the car. DUH!!! Case solved. Give us a break Jeremy Clarkson!!!
To me, the real story here is not the GT40, but his remark about the US's entry into WWII. I'm sorry that the US's timing didn't suit him. Maybe if Neville Chamberlain hadn't been so eager to appease Hitler in the early going, tens of thousands of US troops wouldn't have had to die defending foreign soil. I kind of expect that mentality from some un-named countries on the Continent, but not the UK.
