TFS Twisted Wedge Heads Pushrod Length

I am about to order pushrods (along with many other things) to complete my top end build. I have the TFS Twisted Wedge heads, 1.6 rockers, TFS stage 1 cam, and stock deck height. I have been told to start around 6.75" pushrod, and go from there. I do not want to have to mess around by checking length and making separate orders. Does anyone else have this combo so they can inform me of what exact length i will need?

Also, apart from that, i have been told it will be a good idea to put in a new front seal. Thats not the same as a timing cover gasket, is it? If not, does anyone have the summit part number for me?

Thanks,
Alex

6.7" should work as should a 6.75". You can buy either one and then check the geometry by using a home made soplid lifter and putting black marker on the valve tip. Then install and set that rocker and rotate the motor over twice and check the wear pattern. If memory serves me correct you want a small patch appx in the middle. The wear patch should be less than .080". I just checked mine when I put my 347 together and 6.7" is about perfect. I ran 6.7" on my 302 but never checked. Checking is the proper way, but usually a 6.7 or 6.75" works fine.

The timing cover gasket kit should come with a new front seal. Pop the old one out, put a dab of grease or oil on the timing cover and bang the new seal in evenly.
