So I have this '04.. and noticed last week when it rained heavily, I had water pouring out of my pillar pod holes. Pulled off the gauges, the pillar pod, and even the a-pillar.. the weather stripping looks a little bent .. but otherwise doesn't appear to be unable to prevent water from coming in.

The headliner near the a-pillar was soaked, drivers side floormat was soaked, dashmat wa ssoaked, etc. Anybody had problems with leaks near doors by the a-pillar, etc?

It was raining pretty damn hard. It also rained last night and when I came out this morning, my floormat had some water in it.. but I couldn't find any on the headliner.

I noticed that my stock a-pillar isn't sitting exactly flush anymore like it did when it was new.. I think maybe I broke a clip or something when I put that pillar pod in. But should the a-pillar sitting flush affect how the weather stripping works?

Since you are stil under warranty, have them replace the little delta/wedge shaped window guide on the door where the mirror mounts. Mine leaked the first week I bought it and I had this part replaced and it's been good since.

Now that I think about it, mine used to leak by the mirror triangle about once every while when running my car through the touchless carwash with those high pressure water jets. There were only 1 or 2 drips though.

Will the fact that I had a pillar pod on there make any difference? I still have the wires hanging there from the gauges.. think it'll cause a problem?

Mine leaks by the mirrors a little bit as well, check there too.

Mine leaks right by the mach 460 tweeters on both doors. I also have a seal out where the passenger window buts up to it. And the seal on the back glass is just hanging there. Oh yeah I have 2 or 3 rattles too. Not bad for a 2 year old car. :nonono:

Plus I don't want to take it in because I don't want them to void my powertrain warranty because of my mods. I guess I will just take it in right before my warranty expires and have them fix all of that ****.

Well, I had a friend pour water on it while I sat inside.. it appeared that the weatherstripping between that little bar over the door and the roof is what's absorbing the water. We didn't pour enough on to have it leak, but that's the only place it absorbed.

Oh, for the guy above, they can't void your entire powertrain warranty, they can just refuse to cover anything caused by damage from your mods.

Took it in to the dealership today. Ford replaced the drivers side weather stripping under warranty, and re-aligned the door. No clue why it was mis-aligned to begin with, though.

I haven't tested it yet, but they claim they water tested it and it isn't leaking anymore.

I think the fact that I live in AZ where every single piece of weather stripping dry-rots within a week of being exposed to sun has something to do with it. :)
