Here is a pretty simple question…
BACKGROUND
95 GT w/ BBK shortie equal length headers
PROBLEM
Leaking headers
1. What is that best gasket to use? Mr. Gasket? Felpro?
2. I am using the bolts that can with the headers, they are nice but I am thinking I sould go with Stage 8 locking bolts…What say you?

i recently replaced my mac copper gaskets with the felpro 1415. as far as the bolts i just kept checking every day for about a week and tightening after a few heat cycles. after a few times they wont move anymore.

i went with stage 8 lockers, got tired of worrying and checking to see if the bolts were loose.on mine it didnt matter how often i checked 1 would always be loose.but not anymore thank god.buy some locking bolts and forget it

Go with felpro.. Mr.gasket are just more expensive and can be a pain in the ass if they don't line up.. Where I work we sell both and people tend to like the felpro gaskets more.

I use copper gaskets with regular 3/8 bolts and never had leaking issues. Back in the day I used Stage 8 locking bolts and all that. In the end I lost the little clips and were annoying to remove anyway. I went back to simplier times and have no worries.

i agree with that 100% after losing nearly half of those clips, i just said screw it and used the bolts without any locks. after a few times retightening them, they never backed out.

I do like my breslins. I was able to easily get to 15 of the locking allen screws. the last one took a few mnutes but nothing too bad... I would say just as bad if not easier than the stage 8's, BUT i have never acutlaly used the stage 8's...
