Hey guys, now my wife's talking about moving to Tennessee vs. Georgia. East of Chattanooga to be exact. Anything out there for mustangers, such as decently priced housing, good paying jobs, etc? Looking to get into the back end of a Ford dealership as well. Any input/assistance is appreciated.

Hello ss93cobra,
There are 4 dealers in the Chatt,Cleveland,Ringgold area. There is decent housing around Chatt. It is just a matter of intown or away from town. We have several cruise in's around town and our local Mustang Club pput on two shows a year along with doing some homecoming and parades. Always nice to have another Mustang in town.

Thanks for answering, I appreciate it. I don't suppose you'd happen to have any good contacts at those dealerships, would you? Regarding housing, I'd prefer out of town, with a commute of not more than 30 minutes each way.......
Any other info you can provide is welcome too. Perhaps a member of your local club has land for sale, needs help at work, etc...

Lots of Mustang guys/girls in Cleveland which is about 20min from Chattavegas. Few dealerships up there too in case you don't find what you need here in Chattanooga.

As far as housing goes, there's TONS of rental properties out where your talking about. The major growth of the county is out there though, so prices may be on the rise. I live out in Harrison as another poster does. :) Hello neighbor.

Great place for fall drives in a Stang.

I'm on my 4th Mustang. A new 2005 V6 ( i know, but i'm 30 now and have NO NEED for a V8.. after having a topped out Cobra for 8 years). I'm loving the new car, specially the nice STOCK engine.

Anyway, enough about me.. welcome to the neighborhood. :)

another guy from chattanooga :D i was in your spot a year ago, asking questions here about moving to chattanooga from WV. what a difference a year makes. anyway there are several different places you could find to rent/buy down here, with a lot of different price brackets. ya just gotta get settled on where you want to work & then start looking in that radius. after living here for a year, i like chattanooga alot, if my family wasn't in WV i'd stay here. i think you'll like it

btw - be careful driving in chattanooga, the cops pay 'special' attention to mustangs, or at least red ones :(
