I finally got the grill for my 78 finished. I wound up using expanded metal grate for the grill and then made a custom light bar for the center. The light bar is made of fiberglass with 65 Mustang turn signal lenses. The emblem is custom with the running horse from a 65 fender emblem that I shaved down. All in all I am pleased with it, though I may later replace the turn signals with driving lights.

Grill

Thanks for the input guys. I agree that something should be done about the screws and I have considered painting them orange for now just so they blend in. If I can find some other type of lense to go in there I will replace them. As far as reproducing this piece, I may consider that when I get some other non II related things done, like the hole in my kitchen ceiling from and upstairs shower blow out. Anyway, I wonder what the interest would be for something similar, but in billet aluminum!..............huh?

Could counter-sink the screws and tap the visible holes over the screws so that threaded orange plastic plugs could be threaded in over the screws to conceal them.
