The tube and fin coolers are usually thinner and easier to get into tight places (IE, in front of or behind a radiator). The stacked plate coolers are constructed similar to a radiator and are built more for durability. One will cool as well as the other, just go with the largest one that will provide the most surface area and will fit, for your application. The more transmission fluid you can get out of the transmission and circulating into the lines and cooler at a time, the easier it will be to control and lower its temperature.MYSLO4-6 said:Gearbanger, should I buy a tube and fin or stacked plate model.
