Covered Switch in Coin Holder

Hey guys...just picked up a SLP line lock kit and want to install a covered switch. I saw one a while back that replaces the next to useless coinholder. I found one here toward the center of the page, but I am sure there has got to be one out there that doesn't cost 50 or 70 buck. Anyone seen one elsewhere?

You could probably make one yourself for super cheap with some scrap plastic and a toggle switch.

Try to use a dremel or something to cut out the coin slats and then mount the switch to the bottom of the now hollowed out coin holder. It won't be covered, but it will be recessed into the coin holder. BTW I was thinking this would work great with a push-on, push off type switch, not a toggle.

ever think about getting another foglight switch and installing it in the coin slot. wire the linelock kit into the new fog switch. it'll look stock

Mustang tuning sells a piece for the SCT tuner http://www.mustangtuning.com/sct-coin-holder-switch-1999-2004.html. You might be able to drill the center out of that and replace it with the toggle switch. .. Just a thought

That SCT piece, so you can adjust between an 87 tune and 93 tune just like that?

I found out that electronics store like Radio Shack have far better prices on switches than auto-related stores. The switches you find on UPR and such are overpriced. Go to Radio Shack or your local hardware store or even your local Autozone and you'll find the same switches for much less.

Yeah, I used a small radio shack switch and mounted in the useless coin tray.
I used a large drill bit (maybe 1/2") and bored through from the backside. Then I used an exacto knife to keep widdling it until the switch fit perfectly. I also like the idea of possibly using another fog light switch. That would look more stock but a small black switch looks great with my charcoal interior. Good Luck and use patience or you could slice up your fingers!
