They are fantastic. A proven mod since day one. AND THEY SAVE YOU GAS! WHY ON EARTH DOESNT EVERYONE WHOS NOT FORCED INDUCTION HAVE THESE THINGS.:bang:

Sorry it drives me nuts hearing folk who dont have them saying they are bad. Much better than plenum/tb and they improve your gas mileage. They pay for themselves!

they are a good mod...alot of guys will tell you they are not a good modification because some morons have not done the install right and screwed up their motors. read the instructions and do the install right and they are very good and cost effective mods.

well I think they are a good mod..
I did them a few months ago. I made sure that the alternator wasn't undercharging too much and it wasn't. It's decently easy but you do need a few tools to do it. I remember that switching the alt. pulley was a pain because of the lack of room ( I didn't bother removing it) and the swivel impact socket was not swiveling as much as I needed...

But I have noticed I am using less gas as well it gallops a little faster after too... just enough to actually notice...

the main thing is when you have a powerful stereo or something that it will drain the battery significantly, the alternator can't keep up because it's being spun slower (especially at idle).

Even with the stock mach460 and the a/c going I notice it will dip enough on mine.. I can't imagine someone with a large stereo....

Some people compensate this with keeping the stock alt. pulley on, but if you do that you are losing 1/2 of the h/p you paid for buying the pulleys... so what is the point?

Yeah, I heard that the pulleys are a good mod. They are usually good for 5-10 hp & 7-15 ft lb tq. Plus, low-end acceleration is increased & gas mileage too!! Only negatives I have heard are the lack of voltage to power the accessories: a/c/stereo, etc... and that the install is tricky. One thing I have learned (even from only having my stang for a few months now): having the right tools and the right instructions, you can do almost anything to these cars.:D I'm gonna get the Steeda pulleys, hopefully very soon.:nice:
