I have a BECOOL radiator in my 65 stang that is much larger than stock.
Im running a ZIRGO 3300cfm electric fan and overheats in hot weather.
I think 3300cfm is a lie from Zirgo. I need someone that is running a high performance engine with a electric fan that keeps it cool.
ANYONE!!!

Under what circumstances are you overheating?

I have a Griffin alum radiator, 2 row with 1 inch tubes and a 1250 cfm puller fan. I overheat only when in stop and go traffic or when I am in a traffic jam. When I am on the highway, the needle is buried deep into the "C". It is only when I idle after coming off the freeway that my temps come up.

You are at about as high as you can go with respect to aftermarket fans so perhaps your problem lies elsewhere. Do you have the fan wired to a thermostat and switch and the switch is not functioning properly? How much juice is your fan taking and can your alt handle it? Were the head gaskets recently installed? I was told here on SN by others who know that head gaskets that are installed backwards can block water flow. How is your water pump?

Griffin Aluminum 2-row with 1.25" tubes. Derale 16" pusher. Runs so cool the thermostat closes on the highway and I can idle all day. See my sig - lots of engine mods. You should be able to solve this problem!

I cannot think of any reason that a <450fwhp NA engine with an aluminum radiator should overheat at idle in <100degree weather unless some component in the cooling system is malfunctioning.

Is it possible you are confusing running hot with overheating? Are you using the factory temp gauge or sender? Is steam blowing out of her?

I have to agree on the Zirgo lie. I'm running the same fan and it'd be lucky to put out 1200cfm. First you need to explain whether it is overheating at idle or while driving 30+mph. This answer will point to the problem.

If you have a rad that is sized like the original (I know you said "larger than stock", but is that dimensionally or in cooling capacity?), then check out Hot Rod Air. They have a fan/shroud combo that fits the original-sized rad. So far, so good on my 331 stroker.

OK some Questions answered: It runs down the road real good, about 160
to 170ish but last week I was in traffic and the outside temp was only 80 and it went up to 210-215 but did not blow steam or anything. I also have a high flow thermostat and a high flow Edelbrock water pump. Yes the head gaskets are on correct. The radiator is much larger that the stock one as I had to cut the front out 2 inches on both sides and move the battery to the trunk, its a 2 row 1.25 tubes. I do run the fan through a relay and it is thermostat controlled by my Holley Commander fuel injection ECU. The alternator is a Powermaster 100 amp.
I see some of you put the fan in front and some in the rear of radiator.
I have my trany cooler in the front of rad so im limited to put the fan on the inside. O yea, I also run Water Weter in with the antifreeze.
Hmmm I still think I got riped by Zirgo but thats because Im mad.

Overheating in traffic points to the fan IMO. This is totally up to you, but you can go to the local junk yard and find an older (early to mid 90's) Ford Taurus and buy that fan. Supposedly it'll push 4000+ cfm but make sure your alternator is up to the task. If you put this fan on there and it still overheats, then i'd look at the water pump.

I have the 24 wide griffin alum with 1" cores and a flex-a-lite twin slimline fan. My car runs 205-210 no matter what the temp is outside. However it does not move from there. I can idle for 45 minutes and the temp doesn't move. Granted I live in hotter than hell Vegas!

...and that is on a supercharged engine too...which adds a lot of heat...in case somebody hasn't been paying attention :D
