long story short, any shop that has mustang/ford etc. in the name of the shop, they are trying to sue and make them change it, i.e. Mustang Magic...(shop on LI)

I signed it, thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. Theres so many shops around here using mustang in their name. Orlando Mustang open for 28 years is going to have to change their name? Central Florida Mustang, the list could go on....hope this is just one of those myth things that never happens.

Looks like AMP (All Mustang Performance) here in Phoenix could have a problem, then ... as well as their used Mustang parts biz they run on the side. I don't think it's an issue so much with Ford, per se, as it is with greedy fuggin' lawyers...

If i had a company and a product line, i wouldldn't want another business using the name of my product or unathorized association with my business.

If this is true many websites might have to come down.....Stangnet should be okay but sites like Mustangworld or SVTPerformance would be history.

if its anything like the vw sites they may just have to put a disclaimer up stating that they are in no way sahpe or form afilliated with Ford Motor Company blah blah blah.

I just found out today.

Everyone here should be signing this.

Our hobby is at risk of being changed in a major way.

Where will the line be drawn?
Will Ford next go after the companies that build aftermarket heads that bolt up to Ford blocks, claiming that "intellectual property" must be protected?

I find this very disturbing on many levels.
