I would streamline things. Pull one plug after trying to start the car. Is it wet with fuel? Chances are not good that plugs are keeping you from starting.MadHandle8169 said:Ok so for my next step I should invest in a fuel pressure gauge. I am also going to swap out my old spark plugs for some new ones in case they are possibly fouled. I will also check my fuel filter. I hear my fuel pump priming when I turn the key on so does this mean it is working? I will let you guys know how those tests turn out most likely tomorrow evening after work. Thanks.
When checking fuel pressure, that should help you know if there is a pressure impediment. If not, a dirty fuel filter is not likely.
The pump priming doesnt mean you have adequate pressure. As pumps crap out, they can still flow a little, but with not enough volume (ergo pressure).
I think it's great to replace those parts you listed - I just wanted to maybe save some time with the diagnostics (you can replace tune-up items in the future at your leisure, if testing doesnt indicate that they are an issue).
Good luck.
