Do you guys think a v-1 or novi 1000 is worth buying? Right now i have a almost completely stock 302. I'm planning on having rick91gt build me a nice 306 or 331, not sure which way to go yet because im on a budget(any opinions) Im going to be using the trick flow top end kit. I was also thinking about a supercharger. I hear some good things about the v-1 kit, good power and sounds bad ass. I was just wondering if its worth it, or should i wait till later on and get a v-2 for like 2500 bucks. I was just thinking with a stock 306 or 331 short block, a v-2 might be too much later on. 5-6 psi should be enough for now. I really want to run a supercharger. This car is my daily driver so i dont need crazy power and still need to be reliable. I have heard about many people running the novi 1000 or v-1 and being happy. Many peole say how the v-1 is loud too, can you hear the novi 1000? So is it worth buying the 5-6 psi kit? Or save up for the bigger kits like the v-2 or novi 2000? You guys like vortech or paxton better? While im at it, should i go 306 or 331, keeping in mind i will be using the trick flow top end kit, and supercharge at some point down the line. I was thinking about putting the supercharger on my car now, until i have the short block either from CHP or rick91gt....

Build a 306 if your going to SC it with a stock block. No need to build a fancy motor if your going to use a stock block and boost. I really see no need to have anyone buld you a block, I would run a stock one for this application and save the money.

The Novi is a great lil blower. Can pump out over 10 psi and make around 500 hp I think.

As mentioned, the S-trim is about as good as it gets for the price. Great blower and can support more power in the future.

The S trim is the v-2 correct? I know that i will have to rebuild eventually so thats why i was going to start building a short block. I have been trying to decide on CHP or having rick91gt put one together for me. I'm still not sure if i want a 306 or 331. If i go 331 i will prob stay n/a, until way later in the futue most likely. If i do a 306 i will get the supercharger for sure. I have always wanted a vortech v-1. I just can't figure out if an enrty level supercharger is worth it or if i should wait and later on get the novi 2000 or v-2. What kind of numbers approximately can i expect from the 306 with tirck flow top end kit and a v-1, other bolt ons? Would i run into problems with v-1 on a stock stock block 331? I just dont know if i will ever need a v-2 or novi 2000 especially when its going to be a stock shortblock. Bascially the entry level is for peole wanting to stay under 10 psi right? And doesn't come with all those other goodies....
