Um based on previous experience most of your children take up your driving habits, so just because "we qualify everywhere we go" don't mean too much.
Most of my children????? So far only one of my children has a license to drive alone! And she often scares the bejeezus outta me!

Course, thats also prolly why I don't have the s-10 anymore,
Yeah, that would be why..... :p

BTW When does jess officially get the license ( just so I can call the people I like and warn them to stay off roads, sidewalks, or any other surface she may be on with the boat?)
That has yet to be determined..... She's actually not a bad driver; but to quote somebody, "Um based on previous experience..." so I'm not in that much of a rush

Check the southwest sub-forum in this site of info on the ALL FORD show. It's a must..

The CMC show is the same weekend as my wife's B-Day

I made the big cruise with them last fall. It was great accept the big accident kind of put a dent in the fun. The jerk missed me by a millimeter.

Run to the Pines sounds great. It sells out so fast every year. Maybe next year.

We'll be looking for you at the All Ford Show. The best part of the Pinetop show is the "run to pines", a Friday afternoon, 15 mile cruise from Show Low to Hon Dah with a BBQ at the end. Several hundred cars do the cruise and the show is sold out at 550 pre '73s. We own property about a mile from the show site. The plan is to build next year and move up in 2008.:nice:

The heads already flow good, 4v heads have even bigger ports. E'brock makes heads for the 351c too. Stroker kits for the 351c are a few hundred more than a similar one for a 351w.

Yeah, I forgot a lot of what I'd learned about Cleve's "way back in the day"; had to go back and read up a lot. Even the 2bbl heads were pretty good from the flow aspect, just those d**n open chambers :bang: Maybe I can dredge up the moolah for some Aussie heads (if there are any still in capitivity). Also definitely work on the cam - maybe an index timing set to advance cam timing a little - like back to 70-72 numbers. Probably not stroke it so much; I remember (now) the cyl wall thickness issue; and I don't see much good news in filling the water jackets in this climate.

In the meantime, I'm just gonna do the lifters/pushrods, probably a Weiand "4bbl carb into 2bbl heads" intake (cheaper than a two bbl carb to replace the existing 4-pot Holley sitting on the exisiting 2bbl intake), and do the front suspension. Get the car on the road for the kid. Like I said, when she gets tired of it, then I'll play!

Back on-topic: Run for the Pines - now that's something that I'd go see! Find myself a spot along the road - like the old Ace Hardware in Lakeside. Lawn chairs and Arby's sandwiches; watching the pretty-pretties rumble by :nice: :nice: :nice:

Wasn't that where you and Debbi were waiting for me and Danelle after Payson Parade?

Nope! :p The cruise being talked about is between Show Low and Pinetop; while you're talking about Payson - ya know, the other side of Heber-Gaard!
By the old Ace Hardware outside of Lakeside, there was an Arby's; but (I remember now) it came down and was replaced by a Taco Bell :nonono:

To be honest, I don't even know if the Taco Bell is still there..... So it may be a moot point. Oh well, hopefully the Burg & Brew still exists where it was just outside of Show Low on the road to Lakeside?

Makes me love sthe Sporty that much more.

Anway, welcome from another desert rat turned soldier. Currently in Lawton OK. Not a bad riding state, but the roads are trash.

Thx Brian.. I try to make the car circuit offen. At least every other weekend at the Pav's and all the high school shows. Looking forward to the big Ford show in the Cards Sdaduim next month. Ads should be on TV soon.
