Ok i have 225/60 15's and i cant figure out which tires to get the BF Goodrich KDW2 or Nitto 555R ...I want to hook up while street racing but be able to drive normal in rain if it pops up...my only problem is the KDW only comes in 205/55 and that would look wierd with 225/60's up front...and i can the Nittos in 275/60...what should i do?

While not on your list, I recommend Kumho's Ecsta ASX for the money. I'm running(for about a year now) 275/40R17's in the back and 235/45R17's in the front, and couldn't be happier with them. They work great in the wet and stick like glue. I have virtually no tire spin from a start. Mods are in sig.

Arent the 555's a drag radial from nitto? You say if rain pops up ? Well if the nittos are drag radials then your almost better off going with slicks in the rain! You could also go up to a 17'" wheel? I have the BFG KDWS also in a 275/45/17 and they hook great! Another option in the 15" tire would be the goodyear GSD3's i'm not sure if they make'm in your size but they are wellllllllllll worth the chunk of change you'll pay for them! I had them on the rear of my 95 gt (315/35/17's) and they hooked killer in all conditions! Butif you get the GSD3's get ready to dig deeeeeeeep! The 315/35/17's for 2 of them ran me $650! FOR 2! I had nitto drag radials for drag tires and they SUCKED!!! I will never buy another nitto product. Look into yoks also they are good as well! peace

Streetracing = teh win

Get yourself some real slicks and carry them in the trunk of your car. If a civic challenges you to a race, just pull over and install the "racing tires" After the race is over, you can go back to your "street tires" from any brand.

The Nitto's have good rain/ water traction for a d/r, its most of the other brands that aren't too good from what I hear. I have only run the BFG's and Nitto's. I run them all year round in my daily driver. The Nitto's are good on the street but like you said, blow all ass on the track compared to other d/r's.
