I am almost done rewiring my 68 with the Painless 12 circuit kit and need some help with the Turn signal section. I have traced out most of the wires and want to post my findings to see if I am correct as I am fairly inexperienced in reading electrical diagrams.
White/blue stripe --> Emergency Flasher Switch B+(Brn # 951 in Painless)
Blue/Yellow -->Horn Switch (BLK # 952)
Orange/Blue -->Right Rear Turn Signal (Grn # 948)
Green/Orange--> Left " " (Ylw #949)
White/Blue -->Right Front " " (Blu #925)
Green/White-->Left Front " " (Lt.Blu #926)

But I am not sure to what wire I would connect the Brake switch(I think this goes to Green/Orange) and Turn Signal Switch Flasher B+. I am probably wrong on the White/blue stripe --> Emergency Flasher Switch B+(Brn # 951 in Painless). Thanks in advance for your help.

Painless My A-S!!

Bought a Painfull wiring harness for my 67 coupe put it in then took it out I'll use it on a POS it race maybe or maybe just a mower I hated it!! Nothing matched up even close the directions were not even worth the paper. I bougt a OEM kit and in half the time(did them both) had it in and working!!!!!!:nice:

I agree with you, it aint exactly painless. If you are running a stock electrical system and can afford it...use OEM style wiring. Replacing an entire harness will cost 3-4 times as much as a painless kit though, and if you have any modern items you'll still have to hack it or run custom circuits.

Check out my painless write-up:

(I mapped out the turn signal section there)
