i've never heard of people removing the rear swaybar for any performance reasons. There really wouldn't be any benefit from doing this because the rear swaybar reduces body roll. A lot of people have left their swaybar off because their stock one broke. Mine was broke from the previous owner and I never even noticed. I put on a steeda hd swaybar and it made a huge difference in cornering. The rear end feels much more stable. I got mine from artsperformance over in the corral classifieds. He had the best price I found.
front swaybar is what people take off for going to the track for better weight transfer on launch. the rear you definatly want on there, mine broke and i didnt realize how sloppy the rear feels without it. get a steeda hd one to replace it because the stock ones are very prone to break
