I implore you to do every IRS brace/bushing that you can get,,protect that rear end!!!!

Bro, when I had mine I had the IRS work done, cold air, pulley, x pipe, flowmasters, SCT chip and tune. All work done by JDM performance in NJ. Dyno sheet when I picked up the car in NY was 475hp/499tq. With this tune and 90 degree weather it went 12.2's at 116 in 90 degree FL weather. better driving and slicks I know the car had an 11.99 in it.

575hp? you gonna need a ported blower, possibly the KB or whipple.
Also,,great info at svtperformance.com
Call JDM Performance, Freehold NJ, they have a site. Good luck.

First, check the FAQ sticky from U.M. All your answers are there.

Personally from me, depending on your budget you have two options.

beef up the Eaton or go twin screw

If you stay with the Eaton:

Stage IV port
3.1 upper
6# lower
CAI (Jlt or KN, I like JLT)
Good Cat back (Bassani, Magnaflow, MAC)
SCT xcal 2 with a good tune (RWTD, HPP, Amazon, Mile Hi, SP...)
IRS brace
Heat exchanger
BAP
26 spline Input shaft with a good clutch (DFX or RAM are my favorites- stay away from SPEC)
Mafia

If you go twin screw:
all the above + 60# injectors
better half shafts (Level 5)
Oval TB
Headers
GT pumps
bigger Mass Air...

You will obviously spend more with the twin screw, but it's worth it. You will have a lot of fun with both either way.

With the Eaton, look for 500-520 rwhp.
With the Twin Screw (I recommend the KB 2.4 or newer 2.6) you can see from 600-650 rwhp if tuned right.

Congrats and good luck.

575 is out of the question with the eaton unless he sprays.

FYI...the 575 is engine hp. If you buy a ready made kit, go SLP, but I hate their exhaust and Diablo.

yep never see 575 rwhp with stock blower pulley plus suporting mods prob 460, welcome to a money pit lol....these cars just seem to much money, I have seen 400 rwhp 99-04 gts runing mid 11's on slicks IRS really holds u back..but they are awsome cars

:nice:

I just got back from my tuner not a half hour ago. We just did the complete IRS bushing project. SubFrame bushings, diff bushings, spring isolators, Kenny Brown lowering springs, MM subframe connectors, MM camber/castor plates, Viore clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster, MGW shifter, SLP line lock (trick install) and Borla Stinger catback exhaust kit, and 4.30 gears (don't ask).
With these mods, which really did nothing for HP, along with my 2.93 upper pulley, K&N FIPK (which isn't the best choice but it was on the car when I bought it, Go with the JLT) and an X-Cal 2 tuner, we just made 464.4rwhp and 457.5 tq.
Tonight is the first time we got it back on the dyno since I bought it. We were really just trying to see if the numbers i was given when I bought the car we accurate or not.

If I were you, I'd start with exhaust (I love the sound of my new Borla Stingers), a smaller pulley, a CAI kit, and the bushings and IRS brace.

Well, I guess I rambled on long enough about my setup, so now...

LETS SEE SOME PICS!:nice: :nice: :nice:

JLT CAI, Billetflow IRS brace, Billetflow 2.93 pulley, SCT XCal2 tune, and catback of your choice......great way to start modding your Cobra. With a good tune you will be at around 450rwhp. The IRS isn't as bad as people make it out to be...granted if you do 6K rpm launches on slicks you will chuck halfshafts left and right, but if you are smart about it there is no need to worry. Good luck with it and have fun.
