side exhaust

The only thing I can think of for a disadvantage is it might be slightly more restrictive because the exhaust basically does a 180° turn to come back forward before exiting at the side.

Really, it's about the same bend in terms of being 180° degrees (changing direction), however, the bend it does on a side exhaust is contained in the muffler and probably more of a restriction than the tailpipes taking the flow up and back down. If that makes any sense?

thats why i have dumps before the axel....no 180* bends here :D

Right on Brother! But on another note, make sure youre not going to be driving over speed bumps at work or in an apartment complex or something on a daily basis. Ive heard many say theyve had clearance issues on speedbumps and such with side exit exhaust and end up taking it off. And also, I looked up prices once and I think side exit was $850 or so from the cat-back. Thats quite a bit more pricey than typical cat-back with polished tips... Just my $.02

I have them on mine w/steeda springs. It is very close to the ground. I cringe every time I go over a speed bump. If it were my daily driver I wouldn't put them on. I ripped one side skirt off trying to get into a parking garage. Luckly I had a friend who works in a body shop and knew how to repair fiberglass.
