Here i am again guys...this time I think its pretty serious
I was pulling the lower today to take it to my buddies to have it helicoiled...
When I was pulling the injectors one didn't have the cap on it along with the o-ring. Great, pulled the oring out of the lower and cap is nowhere to be seen.
I DID make sure every one had a cap before I put them in there...doh
I'm guessing this cap was cracked or something...but anyway
IT FELL INTO THE CC!!! The cap didn't break off untill I pulled the injector out...I saw a small piece of it by the valve and I tried to pull it out with long skinny pliers and a vacuum but it fell in!!!
Guys...what does this mean?????

PLEASE tell me that it will be incinerated in the chamber and wont **** a valve seat or o-ring...

I have to believe that if you pull the spark plug out and crank it over with the coil disco'd you're probably going to get it to pop out. If not, it's just hard plastic, I don't think it's heavy enough to damage the valve or seat if it gets stuck under the head of the exhaust valve. They're pretty heavy duty generally. Good luck!

Get out it, don't try to start it and hope it won't do damage.

That's why I suggested taking the spark plug out, disconnecting the coil, and turning it over with the starter. If you're afraid it might do some damage, turn it over by hand until you bring that cylinder up to TDC and use the 4 prong grabber. I just used the method above, minus the grabber, to blow the center of a broken spark plug out of the head on my F150. I agree, don't start it. Sorry if that didn't come across in my original response.

Like the others have talked about ... I'd make a pretty good effort to get it
out of there.

However ... Its not like it is a bolt, nut, or something made from metal

Its only a piece of plastic ... I doubt it would do any damage

im with grady on this one. make every effort possible to get it out, but if all else fails i really doubt it would do any damage considering it is only plastic.

Been there, done that...except I didnt know it at first. Wasnt paying attention and it fell in. If the piston was down and the valves werent open, it might still be on the intake side of the valve. You might want to check that before turning the motor over.

Mine, well plastic melts...never saw any trace of that thing the last time I pulled the motor apart.

I bough a car that had the engine "locked up". It wouldn't turn over with the starter. I turned the engine over backwards, by hand. When I did, I heard a bolt drop into the header. Got in and started the car. It ran fine...for a long time. That was a bolt. You are talking about a lil peice of plastic. Put it together and run that beeee-atch!
