Melvin's Classic Ford in conyers, GA carries sets for 65-66 mustangs with P heads. They are very nice quality and incidentally fit foxbody mustangs so I would imagine they fit other mustangs as well. Don't remember who made them however . . .
The set I saw at the shop were jet-hot coated and were around $300 or so (shorties).
The only combo off the top of my head was a 88 hatch.
ported GT-40p, ported cobra intake, 65mm
BBK, e-cam with 1.7s, longtubes, off-road x-pipe with flowmasters dumped. T5 with 3.73s.
On slicks the car went some low 7.70s right at 90mph. The MPH was there to run a little better but the local track is about terrible.
And as far as D0OE heads, my falcon went some 8.60s at 84 with those heads stock, professional products air-gap, 670 street avenger, b-cam, longtubes and x-pipe with flowmasters.
The car probably made 220 or so rwhp at that point and could have made a lot more had I found out sooner the rib under the rotor was locking out the timing. Went to a dyno later and picked up 20rwhp with just 2 minutes of grinding it down with a die grinder.
