I got a smokin deal on a set of 1 1/2" long tubes with 3" collectors. I always thought if you're going to do long tubes, you go with 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" primaries.

Is it worth it to put these on? I'm planning on a 3" Pro Chamber with the headers...

I have a TFS Track Heat HCI btw

i have these headers too! you're the FIRST person i've seen who's actually had these! i got them off my brother for $40 so i figured what the hell. i haven't gotten to run a car with these yet though because i'm in the middle of rebuilding my motor. Have you run them yet? i'd like to know how they are...such weird sizing. here's a pic...

I'm gonna take a guess and say these have a 3 bolt flat style flange at the collector right? If so you're gonna have to really rig it up to make that taper down into a 2.5 size and THEN run it into your H or X or whatever, and then when you do it's highly likely that you'll have to weld a ball flange on the back of your rig up pipe to mate to the H/X, and THEN all of that is going to be further back than it should, and it's going to jack up the rest of your catback (follow that?).

They sound like really old school 289 headers if you ask me...i don't even think the stock manifolds were 1.5 inch at the primaries.

You're right. But somebody already did all that. Looks like they took a stock h-pipe, cut the front cats off, and welded on 3" flat three hole flanges reduced down to 2 1/2".

I am running dumps now anyway so the catback isn't an issue...

The Fel Pro exhaust gaskets are 1.28 x 1.48 or something. I know it was around 1.5"

I got everything for $100. We'll see I might just put them on another car...
