My friend has a 5.0 Fox body and he wants to do deepdish bullit rims, is this possible? he doesn't know if 17x10.5's will fit or not. I tried doing a search but didn't really come up with anything. I'm not familiar with fox bodies because i have a 98 gt.

Can anyone give size recommendations or any other suggestions for deep dish rims?

Thank you.

Guys have done 17x9, 17x10.5, 18x9 and 18x10

they key is proper rear brake setup with correct offset, and some of the wider wheels and tires may need the elimination of the tailpipes and some massaging of the inner fender.

You will definitely need a stock fox track 5-lug offset. No SN95 offset brakes will work. If you want disks, you will need to purchase the north race cars brackets and use ranger axles.

After that, you can bolt the wheels on and see what needs to be modded. Most likely the quads may need to come off, some inner fender massaging and possibly removal of the tailpipes depending on how they are belt. Fender lips may need to be rolled too.

They will fit, but it won't be a direct bolt on and drive away

Mike and guys,

I don't recall if I showed you Clint's (modular93fox) new rear wheels. They are deep dish 17s he had cut down so he could run them with his Ranger length axles. Looks really good IMO. He had them cut down to 9.25, but he said 9.5 would work just fine. I don't know what he paid, but if you have the cash, it's worth it IMO!

Very interesting!!!

If only a company would make a Fox-specfic DD wheel like that. Make it with the lip of the 18x10 or 17x10.5, but cut down the total width to maybe 9.5" or so.

If a company did this, i think they would sell a ton

I have seen a couple Companies that will add width to a wheel in the form of Backspace, I have considered geting some S197 Bullitts widened to go with my SN95 Width Rear.
