With all due respect, as you have made very good tech posts before,
I completely disagree.
I have left motors sit for quite some time. Here in moisture rich Seattle, with the exception of a HG failure, I have never seen oil-water mix that badly.
Something major is going on there... and he should keep looking until he finds it.
Personally,
I have had a HG failure not show on a compression test (all cylinders were within 5%, and it took an hour to get the test done; cooling down). Coolant loss was too slow to notice.
Still a month later, I ended up with cyl 1 scored badly enough to require a rebuild.
To say 'Ignore it, and it will go away' when working on your own motor is one thing.
To dish out that advice to someone else is completely irresponsible.
