I'm new here but I've had my GT for a year now and slowly have begun to modify it. I want to change the hood and looking for suggestions or comments. I like the look of the RKSport 2005+ Mustang GTR Ram Air Hood but read one bad review of it. Can anyone help with suggestion or comments?

Thanks for the info, I had looked at Cervini and I think I'm going with them after they answer a question I had about the hood. I also like the side scoops and window louvers they offer. Thanks again for the info.

I'm biased, but I really like the Steeda street cowl hood. Body shop said the fit and finish was better than any other fiberglass hood they've seen...

Thanks and I agree that Steeda hoodlooks great especially with the matching chin spoiler. Great now I have to decide between the Steeda and the Cervini hood. I suppose I'll a few more to choose from later. My biggest concern is if the hood is functiional and how much work the body is going to have to do. I've read good things about both Steeda and Cervini. Thanks again for the info and I'm sure I'll be back asking about performance mods next.

Yes, the hood is functional. The "street" version (which I have) has a hole on the drivers side that allows heat to escape. The "race" version has holes on both the driver and passenger side, I can't speak for the Cervini though. As far as body work, there was none involved. They said that it literally bolted right on and fit was perfect (little adjusting neccessary, but all done on the car). If I remember correctly, it was $600 to paint and install.

Good luck, and you really can't go wrong with either the Steeda or the Cervini from what I hear.

Alliance Distrubution

Has any hear anything about Alliance Distribution out of California. They also have a couple really nice looking hoods. I like Cervini's as I said before but trying to them to anwser an email takes forever and when I called the customer service person seemed clueless.

cervinis

thats strange ive been using cervinis for years and have never had a single issue with them. I wouldn't judge their customer service based on one phone conversation with one rep. Its always nice buying a product and your body shop says this is the nicest piece we have ever used. Thats what I heard when I had my ram air hood and chin spoiler painted/installed

I haven't heard anything bad about the qaulity if thier products but it's customer service I haven't had much luck with. So let me ask you 2k3stangguy did you but the ram air kit with your ram air hood? I have the K&N cold induction on and wanted to know if the hood would be functional with the K&N.
