hey guys i recently installed a eaton style/saleen supercharger on my 2003 mustang gt and i am still using the stock plugs...
i am wondering which plugs should i upgrade to for my application???
just want to get some insight just running it over 4.5k rpms it starts to ping i am going to do a full tune up just need to know what plugs are recomended...
and his stang was involved in an accident and he put it back together... he had 89 octane gas but added octane booster to help it out he does know that it should be 93 its just thats the gas that he had when he was in the accident...
bought the kit used and lemme tell you the guy that sold it bought a kb and he kept the intercooler resivor and gave us the cheap kb one and water pump...
right now he has the saleen tune... he had them do the computer reflash.. because his stang is a daily driver he needs a real conservative tune....
from the boost gauge i saw 5-7 lbs a about 4k rpms when i drove it, but my brother stated he had seen 10lbs of boost when he went all the way to 5k rpms... so that is what we are looking at...
he was thinking bout getting the stock cobra plugs since they withstand the boost on the cobras, but who knows...
he still has the stock plugs and is going to change them and i posted on here for suggestions... now is he going to need the ngk#6 plugs with the 1 heat range colder? we live in florida if that helps... but we know after we do a full tune up chnge the plugs and get some 93 octane in it ... hopefully it wont ping... so keep the suggestions coming on what plugs to get..
i also forgot to mention the fuel pressure is between 40 and when you step on the pedal it climbs to 50 psi... is this ok?
he is running the red injectors i believe they are 30lb...
what did you dyno with your m90 i am looking for a ball park figure???
and i recently posted this on 4.6tech just bunched up my posts but now that i was introduced into this section i would like more advice... thanks guys
