REALLY... how ANAL are we!!!

When I see some of the cars that pull in to park snd shop...I wouldn't be caught dead around them. They haven't been washed in probably 2 or 3 years, they just either are too lazy to clean them or just don't give a dang about what their car looks liked. Even some nice trucks are like that here. No pride of ownership??????? Spend all that money for something nice and let it go to crap. Why buy something nice and trash it? One guy has nice wheels on his truck........so why does he not clean them too .akes the whole truck look bad. My car get really dusty and yes I have a duster AND a cover and I use maguiers touch up detailing spray inbetween wax jobs to take care of minor stuff. For me, my car is a love affair and I can't stand to see it dirty for very long,,,thats just not in me to leave it dirty.

It must be magic, but I found an M&M under the seat the other day...

But we haven't bought M&Ms since I bought the car.

"Snack foods" will find their way into your car even without the help of a child...

I actually use one of the Mr. Clean Auto wash systems and it really does dry streak and waterspot free! :nice:

Expensive though to replace soap & filters on those things.

U.M.

Worst product ever developed, while the car appears to have a clean surface it is far from it. Mr Clean auto dry is designed to leave a thin film on the vehicle. This is how the lack of water spots and streaks is accomplished. However it is not a wax, and creates an almost traction type feel on the surface.

If anyone wants mine for free, pay the shipping and I'll send it out. Otherwise it goes in the trash. The thing has been sitting in my garage for a year now. It's that poor of a product.

If you use Eagle One's Wipe and Shine every day (like I do)...you'll never have to wash your baby (unless you drive her in the mud)...:D

A car that has been smoked in will fetch less for a trade. Ask your dealer. You can not get rid of the smell.

I beg to differ...although I have NEVER smoked in the Stang since I got her, my daily driver I just sold was my smoking car and lo & behold Meguiars puts out a product called " Car odor eliminator" and I sprayed my interior down as directed (cloth seats) and was amazed that it worked and it's a PERMANENT odor remover. I had a non-smoker get in on a hot day and it had been closed up all day in the sun and he could not tell I smoked in it. The only way anyone would know is to look at the ashtray. That looked very used but cleaned out. Got full asking price on it too. My .02:flag:

... to be "anal"? Where does that expression come from? Is it applied only to obsessive car cleanliness? Inquiring mind wants to know ... QUOTE]

It's a Freudian term. Anal Retentive. Means, in short, that a person is obsessed with cleanliness. I won't go in to the origins of the term.....

I too, like my car clean and try to park it out of the way. But is seems that its a minivan magnent. I tell my wife some loser is trying to suck the coolness of my vert by parking so close.:rlaugh:

I have to use an air chuck/leaf blower on any car I wash.. The mirrors on 05+ Mustangs are especially bad when it comes to holding water..

As far as fingerprints, I use the palm of my hand on the edge of the door glass..

To avoid washing twice a week, get a California Car Duster, Meguiar's Quik Detailer, and microfiber towels..

All I will add is being "anal" is just the tip of the iceberg. A famous person once said " It's not how you get there that counts, but rather, It's how you look getting there". Won't EVER buy black again.

Won't EVER buy black again.

I 100% agree. I will never own another black vehicle as long as I live. Looks AWESOME clean... but that usually only lasts about 20 minutes before there is dust on it, or you drive it and it only lasts 5 minutes. And what about every single itty bitty chip on the front end? They stick out like a sore thumb. BLACK SUCKS

Worst product ever developed? C'mon... if you're going to spout that kind of insinuation at least tell us why, more than just your "film theory". I don't care if it leaves a "film" on the surface, it still looks better than water spots! The object of washing a car is to make it clean, or appear clean. This product does this remarkably well.

I love the system because it makes my car look good without me spending hours and hours detailing it constantly. It also takes less time to wash it since there's no need to dry it.

I use this product… the first one that came out and although it does a good job it is not a rinse and walk away kind of finish. It does cut down on the time it takes to dry the car but there are still areas where hand drying is necessary.

It does seem to cause dust to stick to the surface of the car though… it doesn’t just blow off while driving like other car wash products even with a good coat of wax. I guess it makes the surface tacky but that has been evidence for me it is time to change the filter.

I get good use out of it when time is limited and I need to clean and get going fast.
