Hello all,
I have been giving progress reports on my cobra build as I go. I have been working on my car about 1 to 2 days a week, with no prior experience. I ordered my paint today and plan on painting Friday.(wish me luck)
Here are a few pics of the after and before. If you want to see the whole car and a few more before pics check my prior threads.
Anyway I hope you enjoy, any questions or comments welcome. I know its not perfect, and here are the pictures.

looking good i wish to do the same thing to mine ...

About halfway through i was wishing that I never started, there were many a night with metal shavings in my hair and ears from all the grinding that I was kicking myself for not just leaving the holes. Its a total pain in the butt, but requires more determination than skill.
Now that I am almost done I am glad that i stuck with it.

what did you fill the holes with ?
I have alot more on my plate the car i have i will need to repair rusted panels and remove good pieces from one car to replace bad pieces on another car..

I tack welded the small holes, the bigger holes I filled by cutting various squares of sheet metal , holding them in place behind hole with a magnet and tacking them into place, I grinded down the welds, and smoothed everything over with body filler.
I sanded the body filler and primed it several times to get an even and smooth surface.
Just a ton of work

Wow, that is gonne look great. I have a lot of skill, but not enough determination like you said! I am doing a build up right now. Just sanded the enitre under hood area of my project, but I am painting over the holes.

How do i get all these damn wires out of my way to paint? LOL. Someone told me the wiring harness disconects from the ECU.

lol you burn out! just follow a wire.... every one that goes from the fire wall towards the front of the car disconnects......ALL of it too! Just start looking

Im also doing my engine bay. Motor is currently out. Can i just sand down, then bondo the holes or do i need to Weld the holes?

Depends, do you want a half ass easy way? Then yest bondo. If you want to do it correct and once then weld. Just get a welder and grinder! SIMPLE!
