Just to summarize the dyno/mods history - 2000 S281SC

320HP/360 TQ Demolet Fenderwell Meter Foward, 90MM Lightning MAF, 70MM TB, 42LB Injectors, Chicane Fuel Pump, 3.55, SCT Base Tune

then...

306HP/339 TQ last month, had a leak below the blower due to the blower bolts backing out. You could have removed them by hand. Running very lean.

While in the shop- removed the blower and plenum and sent them to Steigemeier for porting. Also installed Joe's intercooler from Chicane, as well as mosaleen's belt tensioner. Headed to the dyno in a few minutes to see what changes there are.

Also- has anyone had trouble with Joe's intercooler? I was under the impression that it would install easily after the holes were drilled out, but the unit I received did not fit. The inner parts of the intake had to be massaged and smoothed out, the lip of the intercooler had to be modified to sit flush on the intake, and the holes for the coolant lines had to be modified on the intake. Has anyone had similar issues with their install? Quite the PITA .. I'll leave it at that for now.

Have not heard of any fit problems with his intercooler. You must have got one of the first from the batch he just got in as he was out of them for a while.

Remember, there are dyno numbers and real world numbers ( heat soak ). That is the benefit of the intercooler. If you run across a guy in another mustang out on the highway and both of you are in hot cars..... it does not matter what numbers he made or you made on the dyno as your car will be consistent and not pull timing. The other guy however thinks he has 350 rwhp from the dyno but sitting in that hot car in traffic just scored him 305 rwhp.

So- some disappointing numbers of course. 317hp/347tq.

I think its time for a true tune written for this car. A/F is better.. about 12 up until 4800 where it starts to reach for 12.5.

Also, dealing with a loss of power from 4200rpm to 5400rpm. The HP/TQ curve both drop down at 4200rpm and continue on to until 5400 where they both jump back up to higher numbers and continue on from there. I am running the belt tensioner from Mosaleen.. 42lb injectors, chicane fuel pump.

Any thoughts? And any recommendations for an SCT tuner in NJ/NY/CT?

Thanks- I am down on schedule with JDM at the moment, but my dyno time with them isn't until mid-september.

I might end up waiting for them since they seem to be the place everyone recommends. I will look into some of the other shops recommended (big daddy)
