whats the best way to put nite-shade tint on taillights????....should i pull the taillights or just put masking tape around so i only spray the lenses??????

yours are black, so i'd just do the whole thing (masking them off is a pain!)
i'd recommend you clear them after the tint... i didn't and it's now flaking off.

I would take them off the car.It makes taking them off easier.Don't forget to scuff the taillight to give the VHT something to stick to.X's 2 on the clear.It makes them look so much better.

Use a 3m gray scuff pad wet..lightly scuff it...right before painting use wax and grease remover on the area. Oh yeh as for masking if you want really nice non "jagged" or thick edges which are prone to start peel. Use 3m 1/4 blue fine line. then use regular tape over the non edeg areas. We use fine line everytime we two tone something..makes for nicer edges. Oh yeh Id clear the tail lense twice as well. Good luck

I used spray can clear from the touch up section at the parts store.I put on about 3 medium coats.Let them dry for what ever the can says and bufffed them out.

oh crap, i misunderstood! thought you meant you wanted to not mask the lights, not paint them while they're still on the car.
definitely take them off the car--a whole lot easier things will be!
