Oil Burning Problem

I am having a problem with my g/f's '00 v6. It keeps burning oil. It has 70k miles, never missed an oil change or been run out of oil. The worst cyl is number 2, with 3 and 6 not far behind. It keeps oil fouling the spark plugs and it knocks under heavy throttle.

I thought I saw on here a long time ago where there was a problem with the pcv valve that caused it to dump liquid oil into the intake, and a way to rig up a filter to fix it. Can anyone point me to the article? Was that problem even with the v6 or was it the v8 models?

Thanks!

sounds to me like the oil return holes in the heads are clogged up and the oil is probably standing in the upper part of the motor and seeping by the valve stem seals into the cylinders , pull the valve covers and check that out
