Mark VII swap info

That it will! I completely forgot about that but I think getting the ebrakes to work is kinda of *****ty on that setup. Did the Mark VII rotors and the Ranger/Aerostar drum breaks on my Coupe. Finally got smart and just converted over to the SN95 stuff with the ABS.

IIRC, the VII's rear is 1.5" wider than the foxstang. And I think typically a 3.27 gear. Not always a locker either. At least in what I've found. Maybe they're supposed to be?
People have used them in stangs, but I don't have a clue about what kind of offset they use.

EEC is speed density, just typical automatic 5.0 Mustang driveline.

VII's do make for a nice driver though.

The SN95 rear ends are approximately 1.5" wider as well. The housings are all the same width. What makes them wider is the disc brake assemblies which requires each axle to be 0.75" longer than a Fox Mustang axle. Same deal with the 87-88 Turbo Coupe.

I know that the 97 Cobra wheels fit perfectly so whatever that back space is works with a 17 X 8 wheel. I have 255/40/17's on all four corners.

i thought that the mark axles were 1.5 longer. and that the sn95 axles were only .75 longer than regular fox axles. or are you saying from end to end on a complete rear?

oh and yeah the cobra wheels do fit perfectly. especially when they're on a mark. :D

SN95 rear is 0.75" longer per side for a total increase in width of 1.5". If the Mark VII is any wider than this and you install the complete unit in a Fox Mustang then I would say good luck finding rims. The 8.8 housing may be the same width as the Fox and SN95 Mustangs but I am not sure about it.
