thanks for the compliments. i'm using budnik cannon wheels 19x10 and 18x9 (295 35 19 and 255 40 18) backspacing is 4.25 in rear (rearend has been narrowed 4") and 4.625 in front. inner wheelwells were reworked in the rear as well as rolled fender lips front and rear.

Wow that looks nice. I can't wait to see my dream car in the works like yours. (But I'll have to :() It's such a shame it doesn't stay that clean once you start driving it - I know from experience (damn Harleys...). It's a good thing all the bits that get the dirtiest are underneath so you don't have to see them too often!

Thanks guys, been busy running e brake, fuel system, hydraulic clutch, and brake hydraulics. Most hydraulics are being run inside vehicle and exiting where needed (lots of bulkhead fittings!) Revamped the Wilwood hydraulic clutch with heim joint and clevis at the clutch fork (MUCH smoother operation) anyway, as we all know the little details take the longest. and as soon as I can get this thing back on the ground and get some overall shots i'll post them. here's a sneek peek of the rear before carbon fiber tailight panel. (Tim, get back to work on that cougar!)

You put 19's???????????? Oh man, people will roast you at the stake for anything bigger then a 15"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice work!:nice: I am one of the few that like bigger wheels

:D I think they just need to be the right styled wheels to look good bigger, some just don;t work. others do.

no need to get into that argument though,

nice stang! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see the finished product.

IMO I think these wheels look in proper proportion to the overall look I'm after. Rocker panels have also been extended downwards 1.25" towards the rear creating the illusion of a bigger wheelwell.

Oh yeh! That looks sweet! I'm one who like 17s on the 69/70s, and SOME 18s can look ok, but I think your setup is the first one with 19s that looks not only ok, but really good. They don't seem out of place.

i think the 69/70 can away with bigger wheels than the earlier cars but i still prefer my 15's, even though i have 17's on the car right now. i'm going back to the 15's on the 69 cougar.

B- what 17s are you running? I've got 15" Welds right now but want to change to 17s. A trade maybe?

I also like the larger wheels on the 69/70s but I'm leaning towards the 17s because the are not as expensive and I will have an easier time getting them under my fenders without rubbing, I hope.
