Plugs in an 03 GT

south of the injectors... I'd show you a pic, but my shaker blocks em... there are 4 circle cutouts in the valve covers on the heads....

There are no wires.

First pull out your fuel injectors.

Then remove the fuel rails.

From there you will see 4 black "boots" on each side of the motor. These are your COPs. Pull those out to reveal your Spark plugs.

From there blow out each hole to remove any dirt or junk that may have gotten down the hole.

Then your good to remove them.

fuel rails stay. ive done spark plugs on mod motors a few hundred times and have NEVER pulled a rail or injector.

o gawd if you don't know where they are you better not do the job....i can see a blown spark plug(s) or stripped heads in your future:lol:

Thats a little harsh man..:notnice:

Anyways... you dont have to have the fuel rails removed... the only thing you need is a 10" extention and a deep socket...remove them easy enough.. you can always get to them just dont give up =P there is always a straight shot.. just fyi...

When putting them back in.. hand tighten... if any resistance.. turn counter clockwise till you hear it skip on the tip of the thread and try again... when you get it hand tightened, another 1/8th of a turn with the ratchet secures them without sceasing. Put the coil back over the plug.. you will NOT hear the old CLICK that you use to get with wires... when you have it on HAND TIGHTeN the coil on plug (CoP), then just like the plug, another 1/8th of a turn. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!!! You tighten over 20lb of preasure.. you break the seat on the Intake Manifold.. its not fun replacing one so DONT DO IT PLEASE! Other than that your Done, Resecure the molex connector on your CoP and that cylender is done.

The passenger side of the engine is the hardest part... Air intake must be removed... and the last two you kind of have to fight the heater core return lines... Dont give up though.. break the plug loose and hand loosen..

One more thing.... Plugs arnt pregapped... I dont give a damn who tells you otherwise.. factory "oem" is .040-.042 Your GT requires .052 Please remember to do that.. it does wonders =P Good luck:nice:
