Picked up my GT40P's (pics)

My family and I drove down to Dallas this weekend to pick up the heads and have a family vacation. We had a great weekend and the heads look like they are new so everything turned out well on that end. I started tearing the engine down this afternoon so hopefully I will have it running again in a few days. I am taking my time so I won't have to redo anything and taking the time to clean everything up. Just thought I would share, I cant wait to feel the new power:D

Have you thought about degreeing your camshaft? Specifically retarding it 2 or 4 degrees. Its a little trick I learned reading some of Ed Curtis's exploits on Hardcore5.0 and I managed to eek out a couple hundred more useable RPM by doing it.

Nice work on the trouble free install! Make sure to let your car idle for a while to learn the new air flow... might want to to think about stepping up to 24 lb injectors.

congrats on the install! I just got my gt40p's back from the machine shop (Mill/5 angle valve job) and reading this is encouraging since we have pretty much the same setup. Do you feel like you gained 30 or so hp/tq? I also noticed the BBK headers..........how was the fitment with those? Any special tricks to make them work? Congrats again!!

I feel like it gained every bit of 30 hp, for the wires I had to use a 90* boot on #7 sparkplug. All of the other wires went right on. A couple of the sparkplugs had to be installed using the spark plug socket and an open end wrench on the end of it, not bad at all. Very worthwhile mod.
