Midwest Mustang Madness Sept. 20th & 21st!

  • Sponsors (?)

the way this thread is sounding, we may need to try to organize a few caravan routes to the event. east/west I80, and north/south I29. make an event out of going to the event!

I'm taking a bunch of flyers to the Denver Mustang Club's meeting tonight...hopefully get a few more stangs together, so it's not just bigcat and me coming from out west. I may want to try to stop in Kearney, NE on friday though, (if they're open then), to get a couple of 1/4 mile runs in at 800 feet on my way.

how did the club respond to the news? and which club? i still need to send out the club emails....

kearney sounds like fun, never been there. not sure i want to drive the other 3 hours after the race, or get up early in the morning to complete the trip to omaha. i will have to see when it is closer to september. :)

i will be there! anyone else? post up! i know we have a ton of verbal commitments already....put it in writing!!

Does anyone know how many sessions they usually get out there? And how long are they? How long is the front straight? Where's the nearest hotel? Do they have pump gas available? OH, WHO AM I KIDDING!!! To heck with putting it in writing, I've put it in cash! :D Pre-registration PAID!

Now the question is:  where's the line? AHHHHHH....where's the freakin line?

remember this is only the stangnet list. other sites may have another list. also the general public will be bringing their stangs, and we dont really have a way to track them.

It's the Denver Mustang Club...I didn't get a real enthusiastic response, it's still a ways off, and there is a huge cruise already scheduled in Denver that weekend. Last year was the first annual for the cruise and they had about 3000 cars. It's supposed to be bigger this year. I will keep bringing it up, though.

The Mustang Madness announcement is already on the Colorado Stang's home page.

If you want to reach a whole lot of Mustangs at once, there'll be 600 or so in Steamboat Springs Father's Day weekend for the 20th annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup...autocross and a car show....check out My Classic Car next week, I saw Dennis Gage there and I believe April 6th is the day that the episode with RMMR coverage is supposed to air.

I went to Kearney a few times in the early 80's, when I still lived in Omaha, and had my '70 Chevelle. I spent more time at Scribner, though, since it was a lot closer.

i am hoping to attend the RMMR this year with my brother in law and father in law. we are mustang guys. when we get closer to that date, ill let you know for sure if we are attending.

I don't think I will be able to attend either as gas climbs higher and higher! 3600+ miles round trip is not friendly at that rate:mad:

Oh come on, you mean you didn't buy an oil well with your stimulus package check? LOL Seriously though, I understand! 3600/25MPG= 144Gal+ 30Gal on the track=174Gal x $4.00 is $696!!! Just fly into Omaha or Kansas City, call Hertz, rent a V6, pay that extra "you bring us back a part with a VIN and you're covered" insurance and run that. You can trust us, we won't tell !!!!
