Met the girl of my dreams today

Lunch break update: As I sit in my office munching on a reheated chicken sandwich, and chewing on some pepered deer jerkey, I thought you know i havent updated on the stangnet site in a while. And that brings me here. I open up the site and see one thing right off the bat, a new look. Its strange and to be honest scary, its like somebody came into your house and painted your room while you were sleeping. I must say i do not approve. Sure the new logo looks sweet and the old site was getting old but on the same side I was beginning to love the old look. Ok thats neither here nor there, the second thing I noticed right away was the fact that the stangnet loyal, the people who love and adore these cars and who understand that in building a car from the ground up over the course of 8 years, you form a special bond with YOUR car, not somebody else's car that just so happens to look like yours. These people that understand me and who guide me through all my life decisions, were now trying to tell me that its a good idea to sell my pride and joy LiL Red to a complete stranger so he/she can pretend like they know how much time it took to get those header bolts in or knew how to adjust the eccentric bolt just right so that the convertible top wont sag or look cheap. My jaw absolutely dropped to the floor, for years people have been telling me that I need to sell that car to make my life easier, they tell me, "You know Andy you sell that car you can buy a ring for Heather outright and have enough money left over to pay for your college debt." or this one "You know Andy, you sell that car you wouldnt have to pay rent ever again, you could just put a big down payment down on a house by they lake" or this one, "Andy you sell that car, you will have enough money to buy yourself a nice truck and Heather a nice car." Well I have stuck with the car and never once even considered selling it, I have paid off my college debt, purchased Heather the ring she deserves, and I got a new truck, I even had enough left over to pick myself up a dirty old boat. No chance I will ever sell that car, unless Heather herself says that we need to, but sir I would not bank on that one. At any rate, we have found ourselfs a little place in the country, sitting on some land, It only has a one car garage but it does have a decent sized barn, I figure I can put the stang in the Garage, and park our cars in the barn, Probably leave the boat outside with the cover on it. The house will need a little work, possibly some siding, definatly some carpet, in the living room there is green carpet. and the bathroom is pink. But overall its a nice place in the quiet country. I have a few pics on my home machine I will post them up tonight around 9:30, I want to try to get into the house before the wedding but I am not sure if that is going to happen, we are only 5 weeks out from the wedding, and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! Its going to be so much fun, we have been anticipating this for almost a year, I can remember when I posted pictures of the ring before I gave it to Heather, I bet that was almost exactly 1 year ago, I remember asking for Ideas on what I should do for the big night, I have to thank yall again for your help, It was defiantly a wild ride, and in a way I almost wish that we would be engaged for a while longer, but on the other side, I am more than ready to get rid of this blue problem, not only that but I am awful excited to see her prance around in her costumes from vikie S's, Yeah excited about that one. Soo lets see, I cant think of anything else, One thing i sure am glad about is the fact that they dont have the stangnet site blocked at this new job :SNSign: I can spend all day here!

Just remember what we are dealing with here

i agree there's no reason to sell your car right now. Unless it was a matter of you didn't have any money was down to 1 vehicle between you and heather and was about to be kicked out in the street. In the grand skeem of things the only thing it's costing you right now is insurance/registration. ONLY sell that PONY as a LAST RESORT no matter what anyone says!!!

Nice pics of car, you have put alot of time & money in it, NEVER SELL. Anyways congrats on everything, you have come a long ways in year and half, the house will be cool, if it's got land you can always build on. I will be buried in my car. CONGRATS AGAIN

It's been cut-off.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Sorry, man...... it was there (actually I wasn't paying attention and read it that way)...... and I just couldn't resist.
Since I've been reliving 1981-1983 vicariously through your posts here; I feel so seriously compelled to say....
:worthlesb

(This time it's about the house/land - although I'm sure any pictures with Heather in them would certainly be appreciated by all). :nice:

BTW: Were you two by any chance passing though Chicago O'Hare airport Monday, about 11:30 AM? I saw this couple; she looked quite a bit like Heather, but he didn't look that much like you (unless you've put on some weight since the last picture you posted). This was at the food court in the same terminal as the United Airlines gates.

I'd feel like a blithering idiot (shaddup, Fritz) if it was you two and I just sat there eating my pulled pork sammich and waiting for the puddle-jumper-big-Learjet Canadaire from Raliegh to get pulled out of Gate 21 and the 757 cattle-car to LAX to trundle in.... :rolleyes:

It's been cut off and you want to see pics, real nice................ perv! They aren't the Bobbit's for pete's sake, let's keep this a little private eh.

I thought I was talking about the house! :eek:

Nobody wants to see what you were thinking about, ya loser! Besides which, he's engaged to Miss Heather - Jamie (that was the first chick/bimbo/bi-otch in this story) might have eventually led up to that; but he got smart and got away from her. :nice:

Although Heather pretty much knows she has him wrapped around her finger; and she's clearly taking advantage of the situation.... :lol:

So we decided to not get the house, It didn’t feel like it was something that we needed to do right away. When we sat down and started going over everything it just seemed like to much to do this close to our wedding day. The commute is nothing to clap about but its not as bad as some of yalls. For now the little one bedroom apt will just have to do. We took the boat out to the lake for memorial weekend. We camped out with some of our friends, the boat did good out on the water, we decided to roll down to Kaw lake in Oklahoma it wasn’t to far of a drive but we got caught in some horrible weather on the way back. We haven’t been to the airport in a long time, so probably wasn’t us. (But if you ever do see us defiantly say Hi!) At that time we were working on getting things packed up to head home from the lake. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures for I am at work yet again! Heather is done teaching for the year so she has been vicariously going over wedding stuff, trying to get all the lose ends tied up. We have been getting a lot of response cards, every day its fun to open up the mail box to see who is coming and who is not. Since I have a little time left on my lunch break, I suppose I can delve into one final story that might gain a little attention. As some of you may or may not know, Heather is having a lingerie bachelorette party, I am not exactly sure what goes on at these parties other than the fact that it most likely involves beautiful girls having pillow fights and tickle wars in clothing that was never designed to be worn outside. This is what I have come up with, if I am wrong please do NOT correct me. (A guy has to dream) Anyway Heather decided that she had nothing good to wear to the party, so she decided to force me to go shopping with her; and by “force” I mean I ran to the car laughing like a fat kid chasing after the ice cream truck. As I drove, I found myself day dreaming, remembering back to a time past when she wore a certain green and blue costume that absolutely blew my mind, I thought if that was hot I can only imagine what I might be in for on this trip. When we walked into the store she told me to pick out anything that I thought might be HOT, So I did, I handed her a plethora of colors, strings, and weird things that I didn’t quite understand but knew that inevitably they would in fact look “Hot” as I watched her walk into the changing room she looked back over her shoulder and smiled as she said “Aren’t you coming” To be continued. Lunch, my friends, is over

so I only read a few pages of this but it seemed interesting since it seems like how you wrote here like a journal how on the first day you seen Heather you haven't even talked to her yet and now you're getting married. Congrats, came a long way.

But a question I've been thinking about is does she know about this thread about her?
