i talked to him on the phone earlier and he said that the clutch is going to need to be replaced soon, the a/c doesnt really work, and it doesnt pass emissions because of it having a off road h-pipe, but im not really worried about the a/c and emissions. what do you guys think is the most i should offer him? 5,500 does seem like a lot for it. im pretty excited about it, its gonna hopefully be my first car.

WAY too high on the price. I wouldn't give more than $3,500, myself. It's nothing special, the miles aren't all that low, and it needs too much work to warrant $5,500. Not a bad car, but not nice enough for that price. :notnice:

Shop around.

low

Man that thing sits low!

Hope your driveway isn't on an incline...

As far as price, I'd say hes a bit high. It's hard to tell from just one crappy pic though. Be sure to bring a flashlight with you and check the floorboard area for rust.

If everything checks out, I'd say $4K-$4.5K would be about right.

i like the car, looks good in the pic but there isnt anything crazy about it,which could be good or bad BUT have any of you looked on ebay and stuf like that lately.these things are soaring in price its insane.i know right now if you dont buy it for that or around that, someone will.you should see the rat trap one of my friends payed 6,000 for.insane.car is a complete piece of ****.

I say its way to high. I just sold a clean black on black '89 GT with 5 lug swap, 3000 miles on brand new motor that had eagle rods probe pistons, gt40p heads, cobra intake manifold, new clutch, no rust (I live in the desert so none of the cars out here rust) for $3300 after being for sale for 2 months. Offer him $4000 at the most.

i figure i will throw this out there i dont no if you would be intersted and i really dont have to get rid of this car i picked it up from a friend of mine that need out of it its a 89 LX with a new AOD if the car had a stall converter it would be a stout car it is still very strong just doesnt come out of the hole real hard. i live in Alabama ... after this weekend the car will sit level (lowering the rear) like i said you may not be interested in an auto and im not trying to sell but if your interested we may can do some talking if you want more info just let me no i no everything about the car me and my buddy built it
